The annual base salary for this position ranges from $69,900.00 in our lowest geographic market to $138,300.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a strategic and consumer-focused Merchant to support the development of merchandising strategies and product lines for Energy Footwear and Apparel across the Global Marketplace. This person will support assortment decisions, marketplace insights, and account-specific merchandising strategies. This role is serving consumers with the most relevant products to enable Converse’s vision and drive sustainable business growth in the Inspire channel.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Obsess the consumer framework, be a product and merchandising expert. Develop and execute robust merchandising strategies, setting geo specific strategic intent of product lifecycle, expression, pricing, flow, distribution.
  • Closely partner with X-Sport and Sport merch teams on marketplace seasonal product needs, align on seasonal line. Provide actionable marketplace insights to influence future line development and deliver long-term product line plan.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Growth partners, deliver clear seasonal priorities & details, balancing newness and consistency across the consumer framework, to empower differentiated account-ready assortments
  • Partner with Planning to drive sustainable financial targets. Analyze weekly sales performance, consumer feedback, and competitor activity to enable agile decisions that maximize sell-through and meet business goals.
  • Partner with Brand teams to ensure impactful brand story and product presentation across the Global Marketplace
  • Support seasonal product line adoption, product launches and key account initiatives

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will partner deeply with leaders across Consumer Insights, Merchandising, Marketplace, Finance, Marketing, and Product Creation. You will collaborate closely with peers across Converse to align on best practices, shared assets, and strategic workstreams. You will report into the Director of Marketplace Merchandising and serve as a thought leader within the broader Converse Merchandising community.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
  • 2+ years of experience in Retail, Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying, or relevant experience
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of Energy/Collab industry and market
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, experience working on new projects/start-ups/concepts/ideas
  • Proficiency in analyzing business and consumer trends
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to collaboratively manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners
  • Team first mentality, energy giver
  • Passion for the business, eye for product, trend sensitive for targeted consumers.
  • Solid experience in merchandising, with strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
