Job Title: Commercial Construction Project Engineer
Overview: We are seeking a Commercial Construction Project Engineer to join of our best clients in the area - a well respected General Contractor. This individual will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Commercial Construction Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager, Superintendent, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with day-to-day project coordination and documentation.
Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and material deliveries throughout all phases of the project.
Maintain project schedules and assist in updating progress reports.
Work with subcontractors and vendors to resolve field issues promptly.
Support cost control efforts by verifying invoices and managing budget updates.
Ensure safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained on-site at all times.
Participate in meetings with owners, architects, and other project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in commercial construction or a similar role.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
