Job Title: General Warehouse Worker / (Fill) Warehouse Delivery Driver Non-CDL

STARTING PAY $18.00 to $20.00 depending on experience.

Job Description

This is a hybrid position of Delivery Driver in a box truck and working in the warehouse to put away or pull stock dependent on what is needed that day. This position requires being able to lift up-to 75lbs regularly and safely. Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.

Shift available:

6:30am-3:30pm

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:

  • Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, or brakes, to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
  • Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
  • Properly document goods delivered or loaded.
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
  • Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance with regulations.
  • Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
  • Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations to bases or other vehicles, using telephones or mobile two-way radios.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment-Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, or box trucks.
  • Getting Information-Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Working Directly with the Public- Greet customers in a friendly manor.
  • Performing General Physical Activities-Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates-Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Inspecting Equipment -Inspecting equipment to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Static Strength-The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • Reaction Time- The ability to quickly respond to a problem when it appears.
  • Critical Thinking- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The truck may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
