Overview
Surgical Tech needed for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. Position: Surgical Tech (Surgical Technologist) supporting the OR in a Short Term Acute Care setting. Start date: 04/27/2026. Contract duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,341–$1,398 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 4 x 10s. This assignment involves a variable start time with 6:30am or 8:30am options and a rotation that may include call responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room with sterile setup, instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
- Maintain and monitor the sterile field; assist the surgical team with gowning and gloving
- Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon and monitor protocol adherence during sterile technique
- Conduct instrument counts with the circulating nurse to ensure accuracy
- Assist with positioning, draping, and transfer of patients as appropriate for the procedure
- Support room turnover and equipment cleanliness between cases; document activities per unit policy

Requirements
- 2 years of OR experience with Orthopedics, Gynecology, Spine, Plastics, ENT, and General surgery
- Must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
- Six months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course: Required
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Surgical Technician certification: Preferred
- AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required
- Eligible to work in the listed location and able to participate in a 4x10 schedule with the stated start times
