This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overseeing the preventative maintenance of all company small engine equipment. The Small Engine Mechanic also plays a key part in training crews on equipment use and maintenance, ensuring safety and reliability across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with both office and field personnel in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all company small engine equipment.
• Manage and schedule equipment for regular maintenance and inspections.
• Train crews on the proper use and maintenance of small engine equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Interact professionally with all company personnel, fostering a cooperative work environment.
• Oversee inventory management and control of repair parts.
• Utilize or learn company vehicle and equipment GPS tracking systems as needed.
• Represent the company in a courteous and professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two to three years of experience as a general or small engine mechanic.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Relevant certifications for small engine mechanics are preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management and control of repair parts.
• Ability to create a cooperative and professional atmosphere with all personnel.
