Job Description

Use Your Voice to Amplify Impact

At Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon, we believe every young person deserves a safe place to belong, grow, and thrive. Behind every program, every success story, and every life changed—there’s a powerful story waiting to be told.

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager who is equal parts storyteller, strategist, and doer—someone who can bring our mission to life through compelling content and meaningful connections. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that plays a critical part in strengthening our community presence, inspiring donors, and championing the voices of the youth we serve.

What You’ll Do

Lead Our Storytelling & Brand Presence

  • Serve as the primary voice behind BGCCO’s communications across all audiences
  • Create and manage content across email, social media, website, and print
  • Develop and execute a cohesive communications strategy that builds awareness and engagement
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials

Create Meaningful Donor & Fundraising Communications

  • Partner with the Chief Development Officer to craft compelling fundraising campaigns and messaging
  • Lead annual appeal communications, donor stewardship, and impact storytelling
  • Produce newsletters, donor updates, direct mail, and campaign collateral
  • Strengthen donor relationships through consistent, thoughtful communication touchpoints

Drive Event & Community Engagement Marketing

  • Design and execute marketing plans for events and campaigns
  • Develop event materials, invitations, signage, and follow-up communications
  • Capture and share stories through photography, video, and testimonials

Own Digital Channels & Content Creation

  • Manage and update the BGCCO website
  • Oversee social media strategy and content
  • Build and execute email campaigns that drive engagement and action
  • Track performance metrics and continuously improve content effectiveness

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Work closely with program and leadership teams to gather stories and impact data
  • Support grant storytelling and organizational reporting
  • Maintain communication calendars and ensure timely delivery of all content

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, PR, or nonprofit development
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills—you know how to connect with different audiences
  • Experience managing digital content (websites, email platforms, social media)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • A creative eye and experience with tools like Canva (or similar)
  • A data-informed mindset—you track what’s working and optimize accordingly
  • A passion for mission-driven work and making a real difference in your community

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising communications or donor engagement
  • Ability to turn impact into compelling stories that inspire action
  • A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a collaborative spirit

Work Environment & Expectations

  • This is a fully onsite role based in Bend, Oregon
  • Occasional evening and weekend work for events and campaigns
  • Travel locally and work flexible hours as needed
  • Ability to support event setup and logistics (including lifting up to 25–35 lbs)
  • A true “all-in” mindset —we are a team that shows up for each other and for our youth

Why Join Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Oregon?

When you join BGCCO, you’re not just taking a job—you’re becoming part of a mission-driven team dedicated to creating opportunities for young people across Central Oregon.
