Splash Summit Waterpark is a premier waterpark destination committed to providing thrilling experiences and unforgettable moments for guests of all ages. We are looking for a proactive, organized Events Coordinator that can work effectively with internal teams, remains calm under pressure, and loves to interact with our guests while assisting in the booking and execution of events. As an Events Coordinator, you are expected to be a passionate about our brand when working with both our guests and team members. Events are an important part of our business, and your role is integral in helping us achieve our revenue and growth goals by delivering exceptional events that meet or exceed guest expectations. This position reports to the Sales Manager AND the VP of Sales and Marketing. From birthday parties and family reunions to corporate gatherings to special events hosted by the waterpark, you will be responsible for ensuring that every event is seamlessly coordinated and leaves a lasting impression on our guests. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the execution of all events including birthday parties, family reunions, corporate events, employee parties, special water park events, and more.
• Work with guests to ensure that their event goes as planned. 
• Prepare water park staff for events by communicating details of the various events. 
• Setting up tabs for events and collecting final payment.
• Reports to the Sales Manager and VP of Sales and Marketing and has weekly one-on-ones to discuss sales, budgets, operations, and Team Member performance/growth plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Prior events experience a plus but not required. 
• Personable but professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to problem solve effectively.
• Proven ability in leadership and communication.
• Take initiative as a self-starter known to work with integrity while also being a strong team player.
• Exceptional communication skills, writing skills, interpersonal skills, and ethical mindset.
• Ability to collaborate with others, listen attentively, empathize with others, defuse conflict, show adaptability, and demonstrate good judgment.
• Computer literate with ability to pick up new software programs and applications easily.
• High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Able to lift 35 pounds.
