---
About the Role Our client, a nationally recognized retail organization, is seeking a Creative Video Producer to support its Corporate Communications team. This contract opportunity is ideal for a creative professional who excels at finding and telling authentic, human-centered stories that connect business objectives with engaging visual content.
This is not a traditional advertising-focused role or a purely production-based position. Instead, the successful candidate will serve as a hybrid producer and director, leading projects from concept development through final delivery while bringing compelling stories to life across digital and corporate communication channels.
Content created in this role may be featured on platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and corporate web properties.
Job Description In this role, you will serve as a strategic creative partner, transforming communication objectives into compelling visual narratives that inform, inspire, and engage audiences. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across creative, content, and business teams to identify meaningful stories, develop innovative concepts, and deliver high-quality video content that supports organizational goals. Success in this position requires a blend of creative vision, storytelling expertise, production leadership, and the ability to navigate multiple projects in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Partner with creative, content, communications, and business stakeholders to understand project objectives, target audiences, and key messaging.
- Develop engaging video concepts and creative approaches based on communications briefs and business needs.
- Collaborate with creative leadership to refine concepts and incorporate feedback throughout the development process.
- Work closely with design teams to establish visual identities and graphic approaches for video content and series.
- Present creative concepts to stakeholders and clearly communicate the strategic rationale behind recommendations.
- Develop interview questions in partnership with content and communications teams.
- Create shot lists, production plans, and creative direction documents to support video shoots.
- Lead or co-lead video productions from concept through final delivery.
- Coordinate production schedules, locations, crews, and on-site logistics.
- Direct video shoots, conduct interviews, and create a comfortable environment for employees and other non-professional talent appearing on camera.
- Provide creative direction to editors by offering feedback on storytelling, pacing, interview selections, visual content, music, and overall tone.
- Collaborate with design teams on graphic placement, motion graphics, and visual enhancements.
- Partner with project managers and stakeholders to manage timelines, reviews, approvals, and project deliverables.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality creative standards.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Film Production, Media Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience producing and directing video content in corporate communications, editorial, documentary-style, or similar storytelling environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop creative concepts and translate communications objectives into compelling visual stories.
- Strong interviewing and on-camera direction skills.
- Experience leading video projects from concept development through production and post-production.
- Ability to provide clear, actionable creative feedback to editors and production teams.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including creative, communications, content, strategy, and project management stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io.
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience creating content for large corporate, retail, consumer-facing, or enterprise organizations.
- Background in corporate communications, internal communications, brand storytelling, or editorial content production.
- Experience developing content for digital and social media channels such as Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and corporate websites.
- Familiarity with motion graphics workflows and collaboration with design teams on visual storytelling.
- Experience directing employee stories, executive interviews, or documentary-style content featuring non-professional talent.
- Understanding of content strategy and audience engagement across multiple communication channels.
