Job Title: Communications & Public Relations Director
Location: Winnebago Public Schools, Winnebago Indian Reservation, Northeast Nebraska (25 miles south of Sioux City, IA; 70 miles north of Omaha, NE on Highway 77)
Winnebago Public Schools is seeking a proactive and creative Communications & Public Relations Director to lead the district’s internal and external communications and manage the school district’s public image. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with district leadership, staff, students, families, and community partners to promote district initiatives, programs, and achievements while ensuring clear, consistent, and professional messaging across all communication platforms.
This position is responsible for managing the district’s digital presence, media relations, and audio/ visual communications while distributing timely and accurate information to all stakeholders. The Director will highlight the success of students, staff, athletics, and activities while strengthening engagement between the school district and the broader community.
The Communications & Public Relations Director reports to the Superintendent and works in coordination with building- level Principals, the Athletic Director, and the IT Director.
